# Image classifications

> A complete reference to Bodyguard's image taxonomy: the classifications we detect in visual content.

Bodyguard analyses every image and describes it with a set of labels that tell you precisely what was detected — from nudity and violence to QR codes and identifiable people. Each label is a **classification**, and a single image can carry several classifications at once.

Unlike text, images are not qualified by additional signals such as type, severity, or target. The taxonomy is flat: each classification stands on its own and is returned whenever Bodyguard detects the corresponding content.

<Note>
  OCR (text extraction from images) is an optional feature that can be enabled on request. When activated, any text found in the image is extracted and analysed through the text taxonomy. [Contact us](https://www.bodyguard.ai/contact-us) to enable it.

## Custom classifications

Beyond the catalog above, Bodyguard can build **custom image classifications** tailored to your business. Custom classifications are created on request by the Bodyguard team, trained on your industry and visual context, and delivered typically within a few weeks.

They are the right choice when you need to detect something specific that isn't covered by the standard taxonomy — a brand-specific visual element, an industry-specific risk, or a niche community behaviour.

If you have a need the standard taxonomy doesn't cover, [reach out to our team](https://www.bodyguard.ai/contact-us).
