Bodyguard analyses every username string and assigns it one or more labels that tell you precisely what was detected — from hate speech and explicit content to personally identifiable information. Each label is a classification. Unlike text content, usernames are not qualified by additional signals such as type, severity, or target. The taxonomy is flat: each classification stands on its own and is returned whenever Bodyguard detects the corresponding content.
Username analysis is context-aware. Bodyguard considers the full string before applying a classification — for example, a term that may imply drug dealing in isolation (such as “plug”) is not flagged when it clearly forms part of an unrelated compound (such as “spark_plug”).
